Late Shri Vidya Sagar Dewan was an industrialist and philanthropist. He established many prestigious school and colleges to provide quality education to the society. The Dewan Public School at Meerut, with more than four thousand students and hundred percent exemplary results, was his first venture. Later on he established other Dewan School at Meerut, and Hapur.

He also established Dewan – The Base, for young kids, to express his love for education. He carved a name as the most successful business entrepreneur of the region. His remarkable success was the result of his adventurous spirit, patience, foresight and unshakeable sell-confidence.

DIMS was his first venture into higher education. Established in 1996 with 60 students, today there are over 1500 students studying various courses like MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA. The foundation has established four other colleges / Institutes offering B.Tech., B.Ed., PGDM and LAW. This Year they are establishing Dewan V.S. Institute of Marketing Management. We intend to carry on his mission and shall achive the goals aspired by him by imparting the highest values in education, creating vision, trust and confidence in young mind and making them a true human being.
